We are on our way - due to arrive in Vladivostok later today
24/06/2019
We departed Auckland on two separate flights yesterday, David elected to fly Auckland-Sydney-Beijing- Vladivostok in one marathon effort with no significant stop-overs. He just messaged me to say he has arrived in Vladivostok.
John, myself, Oleg, Julia and family took a 12:45 Korean air flight from Auckland to Seoul (Incheon). We departed at a more civilised 10:15am yesterday than David's 07:00am but we had a 12 hour layover here in Seoul at the Wakerhill Transit Hotel in Incheon Terminal two.
It was an uneventful flight, Korean Air service was excellent. The flight was absolutely packed and if I had any complaints they would be (1) cabin temperature was too warm for comfort and (2) the crew were very anal about using the Fasten Seat Belts signs for even the slightest turbulence and the cabin crew were very insistent that we could not use the toilets while the signs were illuminated. As we were all drinking a lot of water due to the temperature that made things a bit uncomfortable at times....

I'm not sure what Oleg is accusing Julia of but I am sure she sorted him out later.

Julia, Oleg and their daughter Mary who, with their son Michael are accompanying us in our support vehicle.
Possibly the smallest hotel room I have ever been in.

Privacy! Not! Glass wall between the desk and the toilet / bathroom. We are good mates but really.... I wandered off into terminal to use toilet. Some things are best done in private!!!!
